The next amazing innovation by the DI Professionals at Nostrum High Performance: More flow at a lower price! This 1170-250 HPFP is the new standard for B58 high pressure fuel pumps, flowing +68% more than the stock pump and an additional 4% more than our original “Big Bore” high pressure fuel pump! Now available through NHP, and also available through our successful collaboration with our friends at Precision Raceworks.
Our pumps are completely ethanol compatible, giving you the added benefit of being able to run e85 or blended ethanol fuel. Ethanol is wonderful on turbo cars, as it has a higher octane rating and is less prone to knock than 91/93 pump gas.
Plug-and-Play install with zero hardware modifications (requires calibration). Everything you need for a fast and effective installation is included! With no modifications to your stock parts, the kit is fully reversible when time to move on to your next project!
Bundle up and save big! This bundle allows you to take full advantage of your Nostrum HPFP by pairing it with our Stage 2 injectors! Flowing 66% more fuel than the stock Gen 1 B58 injectors, our Stage 2's allow for significant gains in peak horsepower with proper tuning. Pairing the HPFP and injectors together creates the ultimate DI fueling solution, turning your B58 into a monster of an engine!
Every Nostrum manufactured part is backed by a limited lifetime warranty. Our products are comprehensive solutions that come complete with everything you need inside the box, including detailed installation instructions. Tuning guides are also available for your dealer or tuner. We have customer service and calibration engineers on staff to provide you with any support that you may need, from installation to tuning.

Frequently ask questions:
Q: Is this compatible with the Gen 2 B58?
The Gen 1 HPFP & injectors are compatible with the Gen 1 B58 only. The Gen 2 B58, like the one found in the A90 Supra, uses a 350 bar high pressure fuel system from the factory, where the Gen 1 engine uses a 250 bar system.

Q: How does this differ from the Nostrum big bore HPFP kit (H086-1555)?
This pump is a different construction that provides a larger piston than the Big Bore while still providing 250bar fuel rail capability, all at a lower price point for the market! Not only is this Gauntlet pump a different architecture than the big bore, but it has also been updated with internals, spring, seat, fittings and seals. It is as good as or better than the Big Bore! All it's waiting for is for you to snap your fingers and make the competition disappear!
Q: Why does this pump look so different and weird?
The “Gauntlet” HPFP product line is constructed of cast stainless steel which allows compact design and results in the different surface finish than the Stanadyne machined pumps.
Q: Is the quality of this pump as good as the big bore?
The “Gauntlet” HPFP product has more than 24 months of testing in vehicles (summer & winter), with more than 60,000 miles of on road experience in multiple vehicles with a range of test fuels including 93, pump e85, test e85, and intermediate blends (flex fuel vehicles). The design validation testing surpassed all specifications and standards! Design and development of the pump included computational fluid dynamics (for internal flows), kinematic analysis (for high rpm spring specification), finite element analysis (for structural and spring support development) as well as 120+ hours of component dynamic testing on a HPFP test bench.
Q: Is this pump compatible with aftermarket cams/”lift kits”?
The Gauntlet pump H086-1859 has not been validated/tested with any aftermarket cam or “lift kit”. Theoretically, it should work, but that is at your own risk. NHP is not liable for any damage that may result from using our pump with anything other than the factory cam shaft or cam with a fuel lobe larger than stock.
With too much additional lift, you can run into pressure control issues. The bypass rate of the Gauntlet pump is insufficient for high-flow rpm lifts and will exceed pressure targets, which isn’t necessarily a problem if you are using our injectors but may be problematic for other injectors.
Q: Can I install the pump at home? Is there an immediate tuning requirement?
Absolutely! All Nostrum products come with a detailed installation guide that shows you how to install your new parts every step of the way. Any additional pieces that might be necessary are included in the box. The only thing you need is your own tools and a can-do attitude. A tune is required for this pump. When you are ready to tune, we have calibration data and tuning guides available to your dealer, installer, or tuner. We do not recommend driving or starting the vehicle without a tune.
Q: I see a lot of mentions about OEM equivalent spray patterns. What does that mean and why is it important?
While increasing flow rate is critical to making more horsepower, there are other factors to consider when choosing fuel system upgrades. A bigger injector isn’t always a better injector! It can flow a large volume of fuel at WOT, but if the spray pattern is poor, you can expect poor idle quality, poor drivability, increased knock propensity, soot, NVH (noise vibration harshness,) and tuning difficulty. Additionally, the wrong spray pattern can result in liquid fuel impinging in the cylinder walls, causing oil dilution, which increases mechanical wear to internal engine components.
Nostrum has invested significant time and resources into acquiring the equipment and machinery necessary to deliver an OEM level of quality on our injectors. Our spray patternation and arc flash machines (images below) give us an unparalleled look at how an OEM injector is designed and how it operates. Our engineers design and develop injectors to optimally interact with engine air flow inside the combustion chamber to improve fuel evaporation and create a homogenous air-fuel mixture that results in a higher combustion quality. For you, this means that you can expect our injectors to perform at their absolute best regardless of what you are asking from them, from daily driver duty to setting new ¼ mile records.

The advertised numbers herein are based on optimal conditions and utilizing proper supporting modifications. Your results may vary.
